A medical facial goes further than a cleanse and a mask. Here that means options like the PRP "Vampire" Facial, which pairs microneedling with platelet-rich plasma from your own blood, and NanoBlur, a smoothing facial for texture. What is the difference between a medical facial and a regular facial?
A regular facial cleanses, exfoliates, and hydrates the surface. A medical facial like the PRP "Vampire" Facial or NanoBlur uses clinical techniques, such as microneedling, that work deeper in the skin. They cost more, and some come with a day or two of redness.
Which facial should I book first?
Book the Custom Facial if you're not sure. Your esthetician looks at your skin and builds the treatment around it. For a quick glow before a weekend, the Dermaplane Facial takes 30 minutes.
How often should you get a facial?
Once a month suits most skin, and lots of our clients come in every month. The PRP "Vampire" Facial is usually done as a series of 3, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. Your esthetician suggests a schedule after your first visit.
Is dermaplaning safe?
Dermaplaning is a gentle, common treatment when a licensed esthetician does it: a sterile blade skims off dead skin and fine peach fuzz. Like any treatment it's not for every skin on every day, so it's skipped over active breakouts or irritation. Your esthetician checks your skin first.
Is there downtime?
For most facials, no. You can go straight back to your day. The PRP "Vampire" Facial can leave your skin red for 24 to 48 hours, so plan it a few days before an event.
Can I combine a facial with tox or filler?
Yes, many clients pair a facial with tox or filler. Ask when you book how to space them, because some combinations work better on separate days. The consultation is free.
