What is NOUVADerm?
NOUVADerm is a 1927 nm thulium laser for resurfacing, with three settings. NouvaGlo is the lightest, NouvaMod goes further, and NouvaMax is the strongest. By resurfacing the outer layers, it can help improve the appearance of sun damage, age spots, uneven tone, and rough texture.
Who is NOUVADerm for?
Adults with sun damage, spots, uneven tone, or texture who want more than a facial can do. It's not just for fine lines: we also use it on acne and acne scars, for younger clients and men too. The right setting depends on your goals and your downtime. Skin type matters with any laser, so it's checked at a free consultation before a setting is chosen.

Treat
About 30 minutes with the laser: spots first, then the full pass, then exosomes to calm your skin.
Heal
It feels like a light sunburn. Keep out of the sun for 7 to 10 days and follow your aftercare. Most people do 3 to 6 sessions.

What is the difference between NouvaGlo, NouvaMod, and NouvaMax?
They are three settings of the same laser. NouvaGlo is the lightest, with little to no downtime. NouvaMod targets imperfections, with 2 to 5 days of downtime. NouvaMax is the strongest, with 3 to 7 days of redness and peeling.
What does recovery look like?
NouvaGlo has little to no visible recovery. NouvaMod brings mild redness and peeling for 2 to 5 days. NouvaMax brings more noticeable redness and peeling for 3 to 7 days, so plan the stronger settings around your calendar. The first night you leave the aftercare product on and don't wash your face. Wait about three days before patch testing your usual skincare, and keep out of the sun for 7 to 10 days.
How much does NOUVADerm cost?
NouvaGlo is $350, NouvaMod is $450, NouvaMax is $750, and a package of 4 treatments is $2,500. A spot treatment is $200.
NOUVADerm vs CO2 laser?
A CO2 laser isn't on our menu. NOUVADerm gives you three settings of one laser, so you choose the downtime: little to nothing with NouvaGlo, 2 to 5 days with NouvaMod, 3 to 7 days with NouvaMax. Steph looks at your skin and your calendar and suggests a setting at a free consult.
How many NOUVADerm treatments do I need?
Most people do 3 to 6 sessions, planned around your skin and your calendar at the consultation. There's a package of 4 treatments on the menu.
